Gun registry facts:

  • Rifles and shotguns are responsible for half the police officers killed in the line of duty over the last few years.
  • Over 11,000 times a day, police use the gun registry to protect frontline officers and prevent domestic violence and suicide.

You don't know much about domestic violence or suicides for that matter.

This is NOT a fact until you define "few."

Over 11,000 times a day, police use the gun registry to protect frontline officers and prevent domestic violence and suicide.

This is a garbage stat. 1. When a cop pulls over a speeder a gun registry check is done. 2. Even when they get 99.99999% of the registry hits back that say there's no registered gun, cops know criminals don't register their guns so they approach the situation as if there are guns present. If they don't, they could end up dead.

The gun registry has NOT prevented one single crime in this country.

There are no stats to back up the claim that the gun registry has led to fewer suicides in Canada.

It is incredibly irresponsible to imply that it has.

And the inquiry into the Mayerthorpe said the registry could not have prevented the killings.

Your party treats me as a criminal because I own guns. Your party has zero interest or understanding of things West of Thunder Bay and this obsession with guns only underscores that.

I think the Liberals want to make the gun registry free.

The Liberals are very desperate because the registry only covers half of Canada's guns right now and it's going to take more and more money to get the remainder.

How are you being treated as a criminal? You can own the gun; nobody's preventing you from doing that. Registration? What's the problem there? Evidently you have to register to go see the Prime Minister speak during an election, too.

Hey Mike, do you have to agree to warrantless searches of your garage in order to own a car? When you call the police about that domestic dispute next door do the police check YOUR name against the motor vehicle registry? How often do you get asked by a police officer, just out of the blue, if you have any cars in your possession right now?

Nahh, you're right, we don't get treated like criminals; criminals actually have rights. Our rights are taken away the second we decide to own a firearm.

Morton lives in a dream world.

You can't explain it any better than that.

A Marxist piece of nothing.
